Impact/Purpose:

The goal of this presentation is to update local regulatory stakeholders potentially involved in permitting and implementing natural infrastructure around Crisfield about the details and status of specific nature-based solutions suggestions such as marsh restoration, sand dune restoration, artificial reefs, and living shorelines, and the reasons and data on which intervention selections were based.

Description:

High-level overview of the types of nature-based strategies suggested for Crisfield based on matching known success criteria for storm surge and erosion prevention from the literature with conditions in different parts of Crisfield's offshore ecosystems and marshlands. Includes geographic area the project is assessing, and example maps with strategy locations.
